The OHRM Professional Development and Learning Management Office (PDLM) manages training and professional development opportunities designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of CUNY employees.  College and Central Office employees in various positions can benefit from professional development and training sessions that present progressive and innovative workplace effectiveness tools created by some of the most celebrated thinkers in the workplace learning field.  Courses for department heads, managers and supervisors, non-supervisory professionals, administrative staff, and other employee groups are available.

The PDLM Office offers training and skill-building courses for employees who are charged with coordinating select human resources compliance policies on their campuses.  In addition, Workplace Violence Prevention training is available online for all CUNY employees.

The PDLM Office serves as CUNY's liaison to New York City’s Citywide Training Center (CTC).  The CTC has many programs and courses available and CUNY employees are encouraged to attend.  Courses in administrative and workplace effectiveness, communication skills, managerial and supervisory competencies, computer technology, office technology, auditing, procurement, and construction ("green") management are available.  PDLM also assists campuses in providing many of these courses on-site.
