The term Human Capital Management - HCM - describes the suite of software that manages the data connected to our people and their careers. It is the repository of all employee information from their name to details about their current position. There are some self-service tools built in for employees to see their records and to change some information, such as email addresses, phone numbers and emergency contacts.
The term Talent Acquisition Management – TAM - describes the suite of software that manages all recruiting for open position at the University and our Colleges and Institutions. Job searches are managed in TAM, job seekers provide their material through the application processes, search committee consider candidates using material uploaded into TAM, and once a successful applicant is chosen, his/her information transfers into the HCM system as the new employees permanent record.
