We are pleased to announce the CUNY Cares 2009 Toy Drive to benefit children who are enrolled in CUNY's Child Care Centers. CUNY Cares encourages all of us to contribute a new, unwrapped toy for distribution to children enrolled in our campus child care centers. CUNY Cares will be administered by the Office of Public Safety and the campus child care directors, who will coordinate toy collection and distribution. This is a particularly appropriate time to initiate this charitable drive because the likely contraction of our economy may fall the hardest on our students and their children. A gift can mean so much to a child who otherwise may have to do without. Thank you for your participation in this worthwhile endeavor and best wishes for the season.
