About Project CHANGE

Project CHANGE is a new, innovative, year-long program that will immerse you in community change – the Creative Arts Team way. Learn how to use interactive, issue-based drama for leadership and community development.

The Malave Leadership Academy is a proud partner in Project CHANGE. Participating students, "CHANGE Agents," will receive leadership development training from the Malave Team as a part of their Project CHANGE training series.

As a CHANGE Agent, you will:

• Expand your creative skills and community service experience
• Advocate for adolescent health issues, including sexual health
• Learn from the renowned CUNY Creative Arts Team (CAT) how to create interactive scenarios and facilitate discussions
• Become part of a select group of only 10 students on your campus
• Earn a stipend for your participation and receive tuition assistance and a CUNY certificate when you successfully complete the program

Focus communities are central Brooklyn and southeast Queens. Due to funding limitations, we would prefer only applicants who are fully matriculated students, who will be sophomores or juniors at Medgar Evers College or York College in September, 2010.
