Every year The CUNY Campaign helps New Yorkers in need access a range of critical services. Donations to the campaign from the CUNY community help improve the health, education, and well-being of our friends and neighbors across the five boroughs.
CUNY faculty and staff have always responded enthusiastically to this annual call for help, and I am very grateful for the deep level of caring you express through your generosity.
This year marks our 30th CUNY Campaign. Over the years, we’ve raised more than $12 million and made a profound impact on thousands of New Yorkers, including many of our own students. Last year’s campaign raised nearly $475,000, an impressive result considering how many in our University community were directly affected by Hurricane Sandy. Nearly half of the total funds raised last year went to college-based agencies, which support valuable programs such as student scholarship funds and campus child development centers.
The theme of this year’s campaign, “The Power of One,” underscores the opportunity each of us has to make a significant difference in the lives of our neighbors. Through your gifts, essential programs and services will be available to families and individuals when help is needed.
Thank you for joining me in supporting The CUNY Campaign.
