internships.
This major university-wide recruitment event provides private
and public sector employers with the unparalleled opportunity
to source from the largest public urban university in the nation.
Throughout its twenty-year history, the Big Apple's rating
among organizations remains exemplary:
- Over 96% consistently report meeting all of their recruitment
objectives.
- In any given year, at least 70% are return participants. The most
telling of all statistics, this attests to the fair's established
reliability as a quality recruitment source.
To quote some job fair employees:
- "We are thrilled, as always, to participate and be part of this event." — Bear Stearns Co., Inc.
- "Wonderful fair! Great turn out by CUNY professionals/students." — Con Edison
- "Every year we are impressed with this fair and this year was no exception. In fact, we saw nearly twice as many people this year!." — Peace Corps
- "This is always the best career fair in the Northeast!" — Central Intelligence Agency
Approximately 5,000 students and alumni of degree-granting
programs, from CUNY's eleven senior colleges, six
community colleges, the Graduate Center (CUNY's
doctoral-granting graduate school), the CUNY School of Law at
Queens College and the Macaulay Honors College will be
attending the fair. Because this is a university-wide job fair,
participants hold all majors and degrees, including
Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, PhD's, and advanced
professional degrees. You can confirm that CUNY has the
major(s) and degree(s) matching your organization's recruitment
needs by clicking on Majors and Degrees in the About CUNY
section in the right column.
If an important objective for you is diversity recruitment, be advised
that CUNY's student body reflects New York City's ethnic diversity: 30%
of students are African American, 28% white, 27% Hispanic and 16% Asian. CUNY now
enrolls students from 172 countries who speak 131 native languages.
Qualified New York City high school graduates and others who meet
stated admission criteria continue to find a place at CUNY.
Act now to reserve a space for your organization by registering on
line. This is an event you won't want to miss.
General Notice to readers of this site: No one accompanying CUNY
students/graduates or seeking entry because they offer services, or
want to observe, or speak with recruiters, will be admitted to the CUNY
Big Apple Job Fair.
