Housing Options at CUNY Banner 

Students who attend CUNY experience a top-notch education in the vibrant atmosphere of New York City. Living on campus  ensures a quality, secure environment with easy access to college facilities and social events, allowing you to make the most of your college experience.

On-campus or campus-sponsored residence hall facilities are currently available at Baruch College, Brooklyn College, The City College, Hunter College, Lehman College and Queens College. Additionally, most CUNY colleges offer resources and referral services to help students find affordable off-campus housing and apartments in the general vicinity of the college. Residence Hall @ Brooklyn College
The Residence Hall @ Brooklyn College, owned and operated by Campus Housing, LLC, offers exclusive student housing for up to 290 students. The hall offers fully furnished single and double units with three different floor plans as well as lounges, 24-hour security, laundry facilities and a courtyard. All units include utilities such as air conditioning, cable TV, kitchenettes and wi-fi. For added security, transportation service is available to and from Brooklyn College.

Other Housing Resources
Various housing options are offered throughout the college neighborhood. Brooklyn College communicates with landlords in the area and maintains a housing database. The database is accessible through the Brooklyn College portal and provides students pertinent information such as tenant's rights and community resources. Brooklyn College also offers students personal counseling services to help facilitate the student housing search.

The City College of New York >>

The Towers
The Towers residence hall facility is located on The City College of New York (CCNY) campus. It houses 589 students and is currently available to students enrolled full-time at a CUNY college. The Towers accommodations range in cost depending upon suite type and length of contract. Housing fees includes all utilities, high speed internet access, wireless access in lounge areas, laundry facilities on-site, a fitness center, 24-hour service desk, seminar room, courtyard and patio area.  All suites are fully furnished and include one or two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

Off-Campus Housing Options
This Office of Student Services provides student off-campus housing referral services. Students complete a student housing application for appropriate referrals to housing providers. This office also maintains a database of off-campus student housing options.

College of Staten Island, Coming Fall 2013
The College of Staten Island’s new residence hall will open for the Fall 2013! Located on campus, the residence hall will offer a state-of-the-art fitness
center, computer center, study lounges, cafe and social lounge and so much more.

Residence Hall at Brookdale
Hunter College has a residence hall located at its Brookdale Health Sciences campus. This facility has 646 single-occupancy rooms. Students share a bathroom, kitchen and common area with floor mates. Facilities include tennis courts, swimming pools, a game room and a basketball court. This housing option is available to undergraduate and graduate students. Students of Macaulay Honors College are guaranteed housing. Housing is available on a first come first serve basis for all other students.

Lehman College Student Housing
Located on Bedford Park Boulevard the dorm at Lehman College serves as a residence hall for 19 Lehman students. The dorm includes both single and double rooms and students are selected through a lottery system.

Queens College >>

The Summit at Queens College
Located in the heart of the campus, just south of FitzGerald Gymnasium, the low-rise, U-shaped, 506-bed building has three wings of varying stories to complement the heights of the surrounding buildings.

In keeping with Queens College's commitment to sustainability, the design of The Summit met Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) requirements for silver certification. The LEED rating system is overseen by the United States Green Building Council, which awards certification to structures that prevent waste and conserve energy in measurable ways.

Brandon Residence for Women
The residents of this facility range from artists, teachers and business women to students. It is a traditional dormitory style facility with private furnished rooms with two bathrooms per floor. Rent includes all utilities, linens and two meals per day. Laundry and kitchen facilities are available to residents as well as a communal space on the first floor to entertain guests. Brandon residence organizes several social events and provides 24 hours front-desk services.

 

Educational Housing Services (EHS)
EHS student housing is available to all students in New York City with housing throughout Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn. All facilities offer 24 hour building security, fully furnished rooms and amenities such as high speed internet access, unlimited local and long distance phone services, gym facilities, lounges, private bathrooms and refrigerators.
