All accepted students are required to pay a non-refundable $100 Commitment Tuition Deposit. The Commitment Tuition Deposit enables each student to confirm enrollment at a college to which s/he has been offered admission and will be applied to the first semester tuition charges. For the Fall semester, the deposit must be received/postmarked by May 1, the national deadline for accepting offers of admission and financial aid. Students admitted after the May 1st deadline are strongly encouraged to pay the deposit as soon as possible.
For the Spring semester, the deposit much be received/postmarked by December 15.
Students may have the Commitment Tuition Deposit waived by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $3,000 or less.

1) ONLINE
- Log-in to your CUNY Portal Account (Please make sure your profile lists City College as the primary college, for instructions on how to change your primary college to City College, click here).
- Register yourself as a Student. For instructions on how to do this, please refer to the City College Commitment Deposit Fee webpage.
- On My Page, scroll down to Student Applications and select eSIMS.
- On the left-hand side in yellow, select the Semester Bill, then the most current semester.
- Follow the directions to pay the deposit.
- There are two online payment options:
1. EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) payments made from your bank checking/savings account. EFTs are FREE of charge with no convenience fee.
2. Credit Card payments using your American Express, MasterCard or Discover Card. The College does not accept the VISA card.
Credit Card payments incur a 2.65% convenience fee charge in addition to the Commitment Tuition Deposit. Undergraduate students will pay a $100 Commitment Tuition Deposit + $2.65 (convenience fee) = $102.65 of which $100 will be credited towards the tuition and fees bill.
2) Money order or personal check
Log in to the "My CCNY page". Print the Commitment Tuition Deposit Page and send in with payment as described below.
