Admission Decision Information

Admission Decisions Banner CUNY

CUNY operates on a rolling admission basis; however, specific colleges and programs may close before posted application postmark deadlines. Upon review of the Admission Application, applicants will receive notice of their admission decision. Freshman applicants will be notified by each college choice as listed on the application. Transfer applicants will be notified by one college choice. The following table provides information regarding admission decision types at CUNY.

General Freshman Applicants >>

General Admission

An applicant who receives notification indicating he/she has been admitted as a General Freshman has been offered a space at the CUNY college for the academic term indicated. Freshman applicants will be notified by each college choice as listed on the application.

SEEK/CD Admission

An applicant who receives notification indicating he/she has been admitted into a SEEK or College Discovery (CD) program at a CUNY college must meet specific income eligibility conditions at the college. An applicant who does not meet the income eligibility conditions will not be offered admission to the college. Contact the college directly for more information.
