WABC-TV

On Nobember 16, 11 ASAP students, as well as other KBCC students and career counselors, met with Saundra Thomas, Vice President of Community Affairs at WABC-TV, who provided an informative tour of WABC-TV's Manhattan studio.  On the tour students had an opportunity to meet diverse staff and see various aspects of the television station, including a chance to sit in on a segment of a live broadcast of "Eyewitness News This Morning."  Students prepared thoughtful questions to ask staff members, who responded with encouraging and insightful answers, as well as words of advice.  Through the sights and the people they met, students learned a great deal and gained a clearer understanding of the field of broadcast journalism.
