BMCC ASAP Alumni Profiles and Interviews
"In my opinion, ASAP is unique because it is not only a program--we are a family. The academic advisors, the director of program, and the counselors have one goal in common, they want you to succeed. They would do anything to help you achieve your goals. Even though I am not at BMCC anymore, my academic advisor Nadine Browne still cares about me. Being a part of ASAP is bigger than what I expected."
Yolande Guei, BMCC ASAP '11; Lehman College '13; current student, Lehman College masters program in business '14; accounting clerk, Seiden & Schein, P.C.
"Besides my determination and my will to succeed, I genuinely needed someone to encourage me to do it. I knew working full time, studying full time, and taking care of a family would not be easy, and that is why I joined ASAP. If I had to do it again, I would. I recommend it to anyone I know."
Abdel Fall, BMCC '12; current student, NYU
"ASAP helped me by guiding me to the right classes to obtain my degree. It also saved me money by providing me with textbooks."
Vitra Marahaj-Mohammed, BMCC ASAP '09, Rutgers College '12
"[B]ecause I always counted on such a lovely group of people I was able to finish a two-year program in a year and a half... I will never forget the wonderful group of people I met in the program. Every fellow classmate and every staff member helped me in one way or another to excel in my education."
Javier Gonzalez, BMCC ASAP '08, Baruch College '11
