International Travel Registration
The City University of New York requires all CUNY students, faculty, and staff who are traveling abroad for CUNY-sponsored programs, research, or related business to register their travel plans prior to departure. Registration of international travel plans will allow the university to better assist international travelers if necessary.
After clicking the "REGISTER" button, you will be asked to log-on to the CUNY Portal. Once you are authenticated, please provide the following:
1. Information not pulled from the CUNY Portal
2. Travel destination and dates
3. Emergency contact information

Note: If you are a student traveling on a CUNYstudy abroad program, please check with your program director prior to registration as your record may already be uploaded into the database. Non-CUNY participants may be asked to create a CUNY Portal account before registering travel.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL AND medical insurance
CUNY students, faculty and staff are also required to purchase international travel and medical insurance if participating in CUNY-sponsored international travel (i.e., trip or program organized or funded by a CUNY department or office). Please contact your home college international insurance liaison for instructions on how to purchase this insurance policy at a special CUNY rate. The list of CUNY contacts may be found here (link).
