
Scholarships
The Gilman International Scholarship Program was established by the International Academic Opportunity Act of 2000. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
The Boren Awards for International Study provides a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East). The Boren Awards program was designed to provide American students with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experiences in areas of the world critical to the future security of the United States, in exchange for a commitment to seek work in the federal government.
Freeman-ASIA (Freeman Awards for Study in Asia) is designed to support American undergraduates with demonstrated financial need who are planning on studying overseas in East or Southeast Asia.
DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauch Dienst, or German Academic Exchange Service) offers scholarships for undergraduates, graduate students, researchers, and faculty members to study in Germany.
American Association of University Women is the largest source
of funding exclusively for graduate women in the world, supports
aspiring scholars around the globe, teachers and activists in local
communities, women at critical stages of their careers, and those
pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.
