Staten Island East Solar Empowerment Zone

The Staten Island East Zone is bounded by Clove Road / 278 / Manor Road / Rockland Avenue to the west, Upper Bay to the east, Upper Bay to the north and Reidel Avenue / Great Kills Park to the south. The building types in this area include mixed use commercial and single-family residences. Map <pdf>

The Zone contains all or part of the following neighborhoods: St. George, New Brighton, Tompkinsville, Randall Manor, Grymes Hill, Stapleton, Silver Lake, Clifton, Rosebank, Sunnyside, Park Hill, Shore Acres, Emerson Hill, Concord, Todt Hill, Old Town, Grasmere, Arrochar, Dongan Hills, South Beach, Grant City, New Dorp, Midland Beach, New Dorp Beach, and Oakwood. The NYC Solar America City Partnership will work with local government officials, community-based organizations and the business community to host events and educational workshops.

New and existing solar installations in the Zone will be eligible for free data monitoring systems as well as a variety of other benefits.
