New York State Solar Ombudsman
Amy works on the NYSolar Smart project. As part of this project, she surveyed jurisdictions across New York about balance of system soft costs activities, helped develop the NYS Unified Solar Permit, is conducting outreach to municipalities for the statewide solar permitting effort, and is working on statewide financing options and group purchasing programs. In this role, she works with municipal leaders and staff and solar stakeholders around the state. Amy previously was a senior policy analyst for Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) and additionally was the co-project coordinator for North Carolina Solar Center's partnership with ICLEI on the SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership. She has a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Science from The George Washington University. In her free time, Amy enjoys exploring NYC by bicycle, rock climbing, and playing water polo.
