Academic Affairs (OAA)
The Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) oversees University policies regarding the academic programs of CUNY and its 23 colleges and more than 100 research centers. OAA is also responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of special University-wide programs, such as the William E. Macaulay Honors College, the Decade of Science, and the Guttman Community College . OAA has recently also spearheaded CUNY initiatives in mathematics education, instructional technology, and economic development. With over 260,000 students enrolled in some 1,400 degree programs and over 250,000 more in continuing education classes, the University offers learning opportunities at every level, from certificate courses to the Ph.D., in a single integrated system. <read more>
