Baruch’s innovative 17-floor Vertical Campus recreates the atmosphere of a traditional college campus in an urban setting. The 800,000 square foot structure occupies nearly an entire city block and serves as the College hub. In addition, each floor is designed as a quadrangle with a mix of classrooms, research space and offices around the open atrium and with many open spaces and cul-de-sacs that are furnished as informal gathering areas. Baruch’s Vertical Building houses a three-level Athletics and Recreation Complex, and expanded student activities center, the Marvin Antonowsky Performing Arts Complex which comprises the Rose Nagelberg Theatre, a state-of-the-art black box theatre which seats 220, The Engelman Recital Hall, a beautifully appointed classic recital hall with 174 seats and raked seating, a 500 seat auditorium, and a television studio. |
