Citizenship Application Assistance Event with MOIA in Brooklyn
After the success of our Citywide Citizenship event where we helped 366 participants, we were back to assist even more New Yorkers the following week. On May 18th, we held a NYCitizenship in Schools event at P.S. 503/506 in Brooklyn.  At this event 49 volunteers along with CUNY Citizenship Now! and MOIA staff assisted 96 participants with determining their naturalization eligibility. Sixty six participants had their citizenship applications completed, and another 30 were referred to one of our centers for further assistance.


Citizenship Application Assistance Event with Council Member Ruben Wills in Queens
On June 8th, we held our first citizenship event of June at P.S. 40Q in Jamaica, Queens.  This event was sponsored by Council Member Ruben Wills, the New Americans Campaign and NALEO.  At this event 36 volunteers assisted 81 participants. Sixty three participants had their citizenship applications completed, and another 18 were referred to one of our centers for further assistance.




Citizenship Application Assistance Event with MOIA
On June 15th, 2013 we held another NYCitizenship in Schools event with the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs. This event was held at Newtown High School in Elmhurst, Queens.  With the assistance of 41 volunteers, we helped 98 participants apply for citizenship.  We also referred 44 participants to our immigration centers for more assistance with their cases.  In all we helped 142 participants at this event thanks to the support and hard work of our volunteers and staff.
