Citizenship Assistance for Elderly and Disabled

If you are a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) over 65, or you are currently receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), or Safety Net Assistance (SNA), or a person who is receiving these benefits and is about to lose them, you should consider the advantages of applying for U.S. citizenship.
Be aware that many LPRs can only receive SSI benefits for a maximum of seven years from the date USCIS granted immigration status. There are no time limitations for receiving SSI for U.S. citizens.
