Volunteer - CUNY Citizenship & Immigration Project

The NYC/CUNY Citizenship Corps is an initiative of the CUNY Citizenship and Immigration Project in conjunction with the New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigration Affairs and the Department of Youth and Community Development. It was created to recruit and train volunteers to provide free naturalization application assistance at events held throughout New York City. The Citizenship Corps and its volunteers play a key role in our helping over 6000 immigrants each year.

The Corps is open to all interested individuals, among them attorneys, paralegals, law students and immigrant service providers. The CUNY Citizenship and Immigration Project counts on the Corps volunteers to help us grow and continue to assist more immigrants every year. If you would like to volunteer, please visit the registration page to express your interest in volunteering. With questions about the Corps, contact Kymete Gashi at (212) 568-4679, or kymete.gashi@mail.cuny.edu. We look forward to your participation in the Citizenship Corps.
