Workgroups on Topics in Urban Health

The goal of the Urban Health Collaborative workgroups is to create a network of faculty members—both junior and senior, and across different disciplines and CUNY campuses—who are engaged in research around a specific urban health topic, for example, tobacco or immigration. We hope that facilitating these workshops will help CUNY faculty to get to know their peers, especially those who are based in other disciplines and campuses. In addition we hope that, by participating in these workgroups, individuals will lay the groundwork for fruitful collaboration later on, e.g., on a research institute grant, etc.

Activities of the workgroups include organizing public seminars to bring scholars and practitioners from the CUNY and larger NYC community together around issues of urban health, as well as various collaborations on projects of mutual interest (e.g., writing articles, developing courses, developing proposals)
