Professional Development and Learning Management (PDLM)

Coordinates professional development programs that support University initiatives, assists in attaining organizational goals, and contributes to the professional and personal development of CUNY employees.  The unit is the University's liaison to internal and external training and development programs.  It oversees several key University initiatives covering staff development forums, "Train the Trainer" campus programs, and training related to implementation of the CUNYfirst system.

Human Capital Management (HCM) Client Support

Addresses HR functions performed through CUNYfirst, the University’s integrated management system, to ensure it meets the expectations of the campus and HR communities.  The unit investigates, analyzes and resolves user problems and systems issues through reporting, process improvement and business redesign.  Members participate in implementing modifications, enhancements, and new systems development, serving as user liaison and providing quality management oversight.

Business Analysis and Data Reporting

Provides information to support HR decision-making and compliance.  The unit produces a vast catalog of statistical reports and responds to management's requests for "ad hoc information" for internal and external audiences.  It supports the campus community through data integrity reporting and resolution services.  The unit also plans, advises on, and supports new technological directions to support  human resources functions.

Attendance Systems Implementation

Manages the implementation of a unified Time and Leave System for the University, as a component of the CUNYfirst system.  The unit has developed project scope, strategies, plans, and success measures.  It manages implementation by creating detailed project plans, acquiring needed resources, and monitoring progress.  It creates and distribute communications and support a complex set of implementation activities across the University.
