Working Group
A working group, composed of faculty and staff, has been established to focus on three key areas:
Recruitment- Examining the search process, recruiting sources, and best practices which may be shared throughout the University.
Retention- Assessing current and recent University retention programs such as the Faculty Fellowship Publications Program and Inclusive Excellence. Retention will also include an assessment of the campus climate for diversity and inclusion.
Accountability - Identifying best practices from within our system and at peer intstitutions for ensuring accountability and buy-in at every level of the institution.
The following plan of action will guide the working group:
- The working group will review and discuss University practices, initiatives, and programs as they relate to recruitment, retention, and accountability.
- The working group will consider best practices used at peer institutions.
- The working group will develop recommendations to bridge the gap between current practices and best practices overall.
- The working group will summarize its findings and recommendations in a report which will be submitted to the DSSC.
