 Flu Information

The Influenza virus, most commonly known as the flu, is a seasonal respiratory infection which is simmilar to, but typically more severe than, the common cold. The flu season runs from the beginning of fall to the end of the winter months. The symptoms can include:

  • Fever

  • Runny/ stuffy nose

  • Cough/ sore throat

  • Fatigue

  • Nausea/ vomiting

  • Headache/ body aches

Protect yourself and others from contracting the flu through proper prevention practices, such as frequently washing your hands. Always remember to cover a sneeze or cough with a tissue or the crook of your elbow instead of your hands. Getting the flu vaccination, also called a flu shot, is another precautionary step that should be discussed with your healthcare professional.
