IT Security Summit

The Office of the Chief Information Officer and the Office of the General Counsel will be convening a day-long Executive-level IT Security Summit on May 3, 2011 at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue, to explore and discuss the following: how and where non-public University information is used in University business processes; the immediate steps we can take to minimize our current risks associated with using this type of information; and near-term action plans to cease the use of this information except when only absolutely necessary.

The Summit will feature a keynote presentation by William Pelgrin, President and CEO of the Center for Internet Security; presentations by University executive leadership; breakout sessions on topics such as shadow systems, report content and data sprawl; and wrap-up sessions to discuss next steps. This Summit will be the first of an ongoing program of executive-level meetings related to IT Security.
