Adding a new Content Area Go to Control Panel > Manage Course Menu > Add Content Area Click on plus sign in upper left of menu > Create Content Area
Changing name of menu item Go to Control Panel > Manage Course Menu > Modify Click on drop-down menu to right of menu item > Rename link
Changing the order of menu items Go to Control Panel > Manage Course Menu > change number in front of item Place cursor over double-headed arrow to the left of menu item name and click and drag to change position
Adding Instructor Contact Information Go to Control Panel > Course Tools > Staff Information Click on plus sign in upper left of menu > Create Tool Link > Type: Contact
Adding Course Content Go to Control Panel > Choose content area > Choose type of content (file, item, test, etc.) Edit Mode is ON > Click on menu item > Build Content

Embedding YouTube Videos Go to youtube.com > Search for video > Copy embed code > In Blackboard, go to content area > Add Item > Give Item Name > Click on Toggle HTML Source Code > Paste embed link in text box Click on content area on menu > Build Content > YouTube Video (under Mashups) > Search for video >Preview > Select > Choose Embed Video under Mashup Options
Creating Groups Go to Control Panel > User Management > Groups > Create Group (one at a time) > Modify Group > Add Users to Group Click on Users and Groups in Control Panel > Groups > Create Group Set
Uploading Files Go to Control Panel > Choose Content Area > Add Item > Upload file one at a time Click on chevron to right of word Files in Control Panel > Upload > Upload Files > Drag and Drop multiple files into area
